Today has been a slow day in comparison with the last two weeks. We got up this morning and were assigned our boats for the next week. I will be on the Red boat with Mark and Kirk.
To get things started, they had me go out on this morning's dive. We took the 20 min ride and dove Calvin Crack. This is a huge crack in the reef that starts at 30' and goes down to around 90'. The top of the reef is covered in soft corals and is one of the guest's favorites here at Cocoview. We moored up at the site and got "into the Pool". Conditions were great. As a divemaster intern, I hung out in the back and made sure anyone's problems were taken care of. This was a well seasoned bunch, so it was an uneventful dive. I did a 65 min dive. NICE.
Our surface interval was the ride for those who chose to do the drop off dive on Cocoview Wall.
I chose to ride the boat back in and help get the boat cleaned up. I then went in to work the weight room. It is not what you think... It is the room where you get your dive weights.
We went to lunch around 12. Today it was fried chicken, tuna sandwich, macaroni salad, and tres leches! After lunch we finished up with weight return and I decided to come to the room to do today's blog.
Tonight we have Brion James coming to Cocoview. We stay after the show and have a few drinks with the band, so I figured it would be better to get the blog done early.
Here are some pics for all of you watching at home....
